Having never been to Laos, visiting Luang Prabang and the exotic retreat of Rosewood Luang Prabang was a magical experience, and perhaps the most beautiful property we’ve visited to date.

ACCOMMODATION:
The resort offers 23 spacious Luang Prabang accommodations including four deluxe rooms, four specialty suites, three riverside villas, six pool villas and six luxury tents.

Each of the resort’s guest housings is bordered by a riverbank. The 75-square-meter luxury tented villas include their own private dining areas and wrap-around decks.

Lao tradition and French colonial style are sensitively woven throughout the design and architecture, including the use of indigenous materials and locally inspired artwork.

BARS & RESTAURANTS:

THE GREAT HOUSE:
A relaxed colonially influenced dining venue featuring a light and healthy approach to original Laotian flavors and Western-inspired dishes.
With a commitment to use locally grown and sourced ingredients wherever possible, dishes are crafted from vegetables and herbs sourced exclusively from local markets and farmers, an initiative born out of respect for the indigenous agriculture and emphasises maintaining a seasonal and diverse menu featuring local fare.

ELEPHANT BRIDGE BAR:

A nod to 14th-century Luang Prabang, when it was the capital of the Kingdom of Lan Xang, known as the ‘Land of a Million Elephants,’ the Elephant Bridge Bar serves classic cocktails made with local herbs and spices, echoing Laos’ rich harvests. A rustic atmosphere which sits over a stream that flows under and past the bar, hinting to the area’s wild past, when elephants once roamed the forests and bathed in the stream below.

PRIVATE WATERFALL DINNER:

Guests have the incredible and personalised opportunity to indulge in an intimate dining experience set beside a secluded waterfall, seated at a private & beautifully arranged candlelit table, perfect for a special occasion or simply a memorable evening in the enchanting Laotian jungle.
EXPERIENCES:

Rosewood Luang Prabang has a wide variety of activities, both on site and excursions beyond the resort, from complimentary fishing with a traditional bamboo fishing rod on the tranquil Nam Dong River within the resort’s picturesque surroundings, to complimentary bicycles and tuk-tuk service to explore the UNESCO Old Town of Luang Prabang, to private cruises, including a scenic sunset cruise on the Mekong River.

Truly an enchanting and magical experience, the Rosewood Luang Prabang stands out as an ultra-luxury escape near historic Luang Prabang, immaculately designed to capture the romantic history, culture, and spirit of bygone Indochina.
